Who We Are

We are the S. A. B. Impex company and we have been dealing with the import and distribution of high-quality medical supplies and medical technology for over 27 years. We are constantly searching for and expanding our offer with new and innovative products that benefit both hospitals and private physicians.

The company management and distribution warehouse are located in Brno. Thanks to modern information systems, we are able to promptly respond to the demand for our products and consequently to ensure the billing and delivery of goods directly to our customers. Our distribution network covers the entire territory of the Czech Republic and we also operate in Slovakia. Our goal is to help physicians, through our products, to not only treat patients, but cure them!

What We Offer

Our aim is to offer the widest range of medical supplies, medical tools, and special equipment from A to Z to all our customers. We supply our products to anaesthesiology departments (ARU, ICU) as well as surgery, gynaecology, radiology, cardiology, urology, orthopaedics, and neurosurgery departments. We continuously adjust and update our offer so that it best suits our customers’ preferences.

Professional counselling and lectures

At the same time, a no less important activity that our company is engaged in is the organisation of professional lectures, symposia, and workshops focused on specific areas of health care. We also take part in a number of domestic and foreign congresses and seminars. Our endeavour is also to support the training of physicians and nurses in their fields, with the subsequent exchange of information between the professional public. Given our long-term cooperation with foreign companies, our company also deals with professional counselling. We also participate in the research and development of medical products.

We offer a unique method for fighting cancer cells

An important part of our activity is our intensive participation in the development of new cancer treatment options. The result of this work is, inter alia, the NanoKnife technology, which removes cancer-infected cells in a targeted way without damaging the surrounding healthy cells. NanoKnife technology is still undergoing clinical trials, but the results so far suggest that it could play a key role in cancer treatment in the future.

We sort waste and unnecessary electronic waste

Our company helps protect the environment and human health, and thus we consistently sort waste.
In 2017, we joined in the Zodpovědná firma (Responsible Company) project, through which we support training in waste sorting and thanks to which we have obtained a certificate.

Since 2017, we are also a member of the RETELA collective system, which is engaged in the take-back of electrical equipment, and we hold the relevant certificate.
The ecological disposal of electrical appliances sold by us is ensured through the RETELA collective system. The recycling fee is included in the price of our products.

If you have an unnecessary electrical appliance, you can hand it over at a collection point for take-back in your immediate vicinity.

Projects Co-Financed by the European Union

  • Academy S.A.B.
    This project (No. CZ.03.01.03/00/23_047/0002120) is co-financed by the European Union under the call “Corporate Education (1)”. The main goal of the call is to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees and thus ensure their competencies meet the requirements of their job roles. Another aim is to increase the adaptability of older employees.

    The call is part of the OP Employment Plus 2021–2027 programme, managed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic.

    The Academy S.A.B. project focuses on improving the qualifications of all employees, with special emphasis on those over the age of 55. Training will cover Soft Skills, Economic Knowledge, and Technical/Professional Education.

    Our project will be completed in 2026, after which we will share additional details and results on our website.

 

  • Photovoltaic Power Plant (PV) – Phase II
    The project involved the expansion of the photovoltaic system with a nominal output of 40 kWp and the installation of a 40 kWh battery storage unit at the office building and production hall of S. A. B. Impex, s.r.o., located at Firemní 710/2, 619 00 Brno – Horní Heršpice, plot No. 948/34.
    The project was completed in 2024.

 

 

  • Photovoltaic Power Plant (PV) – Phase I
    With the support of the European Union, we installed a photovoltaic power plant in 2019 on the roof of the head office and warehouse of S. A. B. Impex in Brno. This project has significantly reduced our electricity consumption from the grid.

  • Corporate Training of Our Employees
    We are participating in the call “Employee Training II”, co-financed by the European Union. The main goal of the call is to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees and ensure their competencies are aligned with the requirements of their job roles.

    The call is part of the Operational Programme Employment 2014–2020, managed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic.

    Our project was scheduled for completed in 2021, after which we will provide additional information on the outcomes and achieved results on our website.
